As an application programmer for DaVinci Education, Daniel contributes to the ongoing development of both existing and new features for our enterprise software system. He explains that he joined the team in May 2017 because “I always loved working in higher education, which gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of really smart people and be a part of something bigger than myself, something noble.”
Prior to joining DaVinci Education, Daniel managed the web services department at Florida SouthWestern State College, overseeing the school’s website and building numerous custom web applications to support students, faculty and staff. Later, he worked for ARCA Worldwide as a software engineer, where he developed new features and architectural solutions for an award-winning, cloud-based application. A self-described “techy nerd,” Daniel had been tinkering with computers for years before going on to earn a BS in Computer Information Systems.
Next to computers, Daniel has always made time for music, the other passion in his life. A serious musician for more than fifteen years, he plays guitar and produces electronic music as a solo artist. Daniel loves living in Carrboro, NC, with his 8-year old dog Charlie.
