Semi-Remote in the Triangle: This full-time position is for developers located in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Most of our developers spend their time working from home, with occasional days at our beautiful office at the American Underground in downtown Durham.

Our Full-Stack PHP Programmer/Analyst will:
  • Establish, maintain and improve technical solutions that will address client needs, with a focus on enhancing the value of our enterprise software solution and contributing to its viability and stability
  • Handle bug fixes in legacy code, participate in code reviews to keep the system running optimally
  • Roll out new functionality including front-end improvements (Data dashboards, DataTables, continuing UX improvements) as well as enhancing back-end performance
  • Enhance compliance with web accessibility requirements
  • Help to upgrade PHP (from 5 to 7) and related elements of the software
  • Bring a strong systems analyst viewpoint, along with logical, analytical and critical thinking skills, to all projects and tasks
  • Contribute ideas for product and systems improvement
  • Deliver all work product in a timely and efficient manner
  • Invest your enthusiasm and energy in the work of the company, and interact productively with fellow team members to move rapidly and successfully toward the company's goals
  • Bring a flexibility and willingness to take on a range of other duties as assigned

What it takes:
  • 3-5+ years progressive experience as a full-stack software engineer, programmer/analyst or application architect – especially working on backend database coding
  • Very strong background in mySQL, PHP and javascript
  • Willing and able to meet exacting standards for coding style
  • Extra gold stars if you have a good eye for UI/UX enhancements and/or experience with development that meets WCAG 2.0AA standards
